How we write and check these guides
The guides are written by the Hudhud team for UK Muslim families, and every one lists its sources at the end.
- Qur’an first. Every story detail and teaching is given with its surah and verse, linked to Quran.com so you can read it in a translation.
- Hadith with references. We quote hadith from the major collections with their numbers, linked to Sunnah.com, and say when a narration is graded weak or when scholars differ.
- Prophet stories follow the Qur’an and Tafsir Ibn Kathir. Popular details that are not in the Qur’an are labelled as such.
- Facts and figures, such as name rankings, come from official sources like the Office for National Statistics, and products and books are real ones we have checked.
- Not a fatwa. For a ruling on your own situation, ask a qualified scholar or your local imam.
- Corrections. Spotted a mistake? Email hello@littlehudhud.com and we will fix it and update the date on the page.
