Partner terms

These terms apply to the Hudhud partner programme (“the programme”): recommending Hudhud books at littlehudhud.com and earning commission on the sales you bring. By joining, you agree to them. If anything is unclear, email hello@littlehudhud.com.

Joining

• You must be 18 or over. To receive payouts you need a bank account that Stripe can pay in the UK.
• Joining is free. We check every application, usually within one working day, and may decline any application without giving a reason. Your link and code start working once you’re approved. Schools, madrasahs, mosques, charities and community groups can join in their organisation’s name.
• Each approved partner may be offered one free book for their own child, as a single-use code that lasts 90 days. It has no cash value and can’t be exchanged.
• Everyone who buys a book is also given a partner link. They earn on the same terms once they use it, and these terms apply to them too.
• We may decline or close any partner account, for example if these terms are broken.

Your link, your code and the family’s discount

• You get a personal link (littlehudhud.com/r/YOURCODE) and a code. A family that arrives through your link, or types your code at checkout, gets the partner discount shown on the partners page (currently 10% off the book).
• Your link keeps your code on the family’s device for 30 days. The sale is credited to the code used at checkout. If a family uses more than one partner’s link, the latest one counts.
• The partner discount can’t be combined with other discount codes.

Commission

• You earn commission on each verified sale: currently 20% of the amount the family paid for the book, after any discount and excluding delivery.
• A sale starts as pending. It becomes verified once the book has gone to print and 14 days have passed since payment, with no refund, cancellation or chargeback.
• No commission is due on: your own orders (including orders delivered to your own address), orders that are cancelled, refunded or disputed, orders paid with a 100% discount, or sales brought by breaking these terms. If a sale is refunded after it was paid to you, we may take it off a later payout.
• Your partner page shows every sale and its status.

Payouts

• We pay verified commission monthly, from the 1st of the month, through Stripe to the bank account you connect on your partner page. Stripe may ask you to confirm your identity; that’s between you and Stripe under Stripe’s own terms.
• Balances under £10 roll over to the next month. Until you connect a bank account, your verified earnings wait for you.
• You are responsible for any tax on what you earn. We don’t deduct tax. Organisations are responsible for how they account for funds raised.

How to promote Hudhud

• Be clear it’s an ad. When you earn from a recommendation, UK rules (the CAP Code and consumer law) require you to say so. Use #ad or #affiliate on posts, and say it in videos.
• Be honest. Only describe the book as it is. Don’t promise delivery dates, discounts or features we don’t offer, and don’t speak as if you are Hudhud.
• Respect people’s inboxes. No spam, cold messages, or messages to people who haven’t asked to hear from you.
• No paid search on our name. Don’t bid on “Hudhud”, “littlehudhud” or similar in search ads, and don’t register look-alike domains or social accounts.
• No coupon or voucher sites, cash-back sites or incentivised clicks.
• Children’s photos: only share pictures of a child if you are their parent or guardian or have their parent’s permission. You can always use the pictures in your partner kit.
• Our name, artwork and pictures may be used only to promote Hudhud, as they are in your partner kit.
• Fundraising in an organisation’s name: only use a school, madrasah, mosque or group’s name (for example on the printable flyer) with its permission, and pass on what you raise as you told families you would. Schools usually need to approve anything sent home.

Changes and ending

• We may change the commission, the bonuses, the discount or these terms with at least 14 days’ notice on the partners page. Sales made before a change keep the terms they were made under.
• You can leave at any time by emailing us. Verified commission you’ve earned will still be paid, as long as it reaches the £10 minimum within 12 months.
• If you break these terms we may pause or close your account and withhold commission on the sales concerned.

Your information

We keep your name, email, code, the sales your link brings and your payout history to run the programme. Bank and identity details are held by Stripe, not by us. Our privacy policy explains more.

The law

You join as an independent partner, not an employee or agent of Hudhud. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.
